RIP Double Door
Welp. It finally happened. We knew it was coming. But still. This one stings. An official eviction notice was placed on the double door this morning and the locks were changed. This place was legendary and now it's gone. I personally had the good fortune of seeing a lot of really really good shows here (Including The Bronx, Run The Jewels, Every Time I Die) and to me it will forever live on in my heart. Not only was it one of the coolest places to see a show in Chicago, it was one of the coolest bars in Chicago. And I know, it'll reopen again at some point, but it wont be the same. I mean hopefully they can pick up where DD left off, but for now the good times are over and that makes us sad.
