Thrice @ House of Blues [PHOTOS]
Thrice stopped by Chicago last Friday in support of their latest album, Palms. They were supported by The bronx and Teenage Wrist, which made for a perfect storm of rock. All three bands vary in sound, genre, and age, but it felt like the perfect bill. This wasn’t lost upon Chicago, as the house was packed by the time the first band took the stage. Teenage Wrist brought the 90s alt vibes, The Bronx absolutely tore the place apart, and Thrice kind of did a mix of the two. Okay, well replace that with early ‘00s vibes and thats pretty much how it went. Fans were treated to a classic mix of the bands songs spanning the last two decades, and just enough new songs to make it worthwhile. Songs from Palms seemed to fit in seamlessly with the rest of their catalog, and it was cool to see a band who has been around for so long still make such an emotional impact with the audience.
We were fortunate enough to snap some photos from the night, which you can check out below and in the gallery. Enjoy!
