Pusha-T Reveals New Album Art for 'DAYTONA', Previews Album
So... lots of news about Pusha-T's new Kanye West-produced album has surfaced. This is going to get you up to date on everything you need to know about the record. Fist of all, It's called DAYTONA and comes out TOMORROW, May 25th! Exciting shit, Y'all. It was previously titled King Push, but the GOOD Music rapper says he changed it "because I felt it didn’t represent the overall message of this body of work". Also the old artwork was scrapped and replaced with the below photo of Whitney Houston's bathroom (circa 2006, at the peak of her drug problem). The photo was released in 2013 following the singers death, and was reportedly licensed by Kanye personally for $85,000.
The album is 7 tracks long and has features from Kanye and Rick Ross. On Wednesday night, he previewed part of the album at a listening event, and footage was posted to twitter. You can hear Kanye's verse from "What Would Meek Do?" and a part of Rick Ross' feature on "Hard Piano".
King Push also appeared on Power 105.1 this morning to talk about the new record, Kanye's upcoming album, and his political differences with West.
The record is currently available for pre-order on Pusha-T's website here. Check out everything below and get ready for the drop tomorrow!
