Shannon Lay Announces New Album, August

The Los Angeles singer/songwriter has been extremely busy as of late. It was announced this morning that she will be touring later this year as part of Ty Segall’s Freedom Band, and on top of that her solo career has been soaring. She just announced today that she’ll be releasing her first album on Sub Pop called August, and has also released a brand new song. It’s is called “Nowhere” and it’s a melancholy slow jam that’s simply beautiful. Interestingly enough, the record was recorded in LA with Ty himself. Check out the video below!
