Dave Grohl Sits In With Taylor Hawkins' Chevy Metal, Covers Classic Rock Songs

Earlier this week, Dave Grohl made a surprise appearence at Rock N Roll Pizza Bar in Simi Valley, CA, to join the late Taylor Hawkins’ cover band, Chevy Metal. Grohl helped Chevy Metal cover a number of classic rock jams including the Police’s “Next to You,” the Rolling Stones’ “Bitch,” Van Halen’s “Everybody Wants Some!!,” “Jamie’s Cryin’,” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ’Bout Love,” Spinal Tap’s “Jazz Odyssey,” Led Zeppelin’s “Moby Dick,” Queen’s “Tie Your Mother Down,” the Kinks’ “You Really Got Me,” and AC/DC’s “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.” Chad Smith and Taylor’s son, Shane, also joined the set.
