Kendrick Lamar Announces 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show Performance

Kendrick Lamar will perform the halftime show at Super Bowl LIX, in New Orleans, on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Watch him make the announcement in the promotional video below.

Super Bowl LIX takes place at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome. Apple Music is the halftime show’s presenting sponsor, so the 2025 event is formally known as the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. In a press statement, Lamar said, “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.” Lamar was among the performers at the star-studded, hip-hop-forward Super Bowl LVI halftime show. The 2022 performance, at SoFi Stadium, in Inglewood, California, also featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, and Anderson .Paak.

This past February, in Nevada, Usher headlined the Super Bowl halftime show; he brought out Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Lil Jon, H.E.R., and Jermaine Dupri during his hit-filled set.
