Soul Glo Covers System of a Down For A Suicide Prevention Series

Soul Glo have just released a new cover and it’s for a really good cause. They’ve uploaded a performance of System of a Down’s Soil on YouTube for Sounds of Saving and 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. It’s part of their “Song That Found Me at the Right Time” series and aims to raise awareness of these valuable resources. The track is fitting as it’s lyrics deal with themes of suicide and loss. In an accompanying release, Soul Glo’s Pierce Jordan says:

“Art is the only thing that keeps my desire to be here. The next project, being able to see the world through any given person’s eyes, out of the six billion people that exist here, the fact that nobody is exactly the same. It’s one of, like, the consistently unfolding beauties of life that really makes shit worth sticking around for. Everybody has their reason for continuing, and I guess art is mine.”

It’s an incredible cover with an incredible message. Check out the video below.
